Understanding Eastern and Western overlaps to aid in treatment for neurological disorders and betterment of life.

What is Neuro Acupuncture?

Neuro- Acupuncture is a more contemporary acupuncture style focusing on various scalp points that overlay western medical knowledge of the brain.

Utilizing basic neurological tests and functions, points are selected on basic cerebral cortex regions effective for treatment of chronic and acute central nervous system disorders. Stimulating and activating specific brain regions essentially resets the sensory (central nervous system) and motor nerves (peripheral nervous system). Think of it as connecting the mind to body functionality.

Often patients who receive a combination of Neuro-acupuncture and Neuro-meridian acupuncture treatments have experienced better than expected results. Patients may see changes almost immediately, and have other rewarding results such as a boosted immune system, increased functionality of bodily systems and even heightened reproductive responses.

Who does Neuro Acupuncture?

Neuro-Acupuncture specialist is a licensed acupuncturist with in-depth training and comprehension in neurological testing, neuroanatomy, neuropathology and neurophysiology. Chinese medicine is focused on precise depth, needle placement and scalp treatment points utilizing 2 to 3 out of 10 styles of scalp acupuncture techniques at a time. Neuro-Meridian techniques can also be incorporated to work either flaccid/hypotonicity or spasticity/hypertonicity of the musculature, resulting in more movement and stability of a patient. Examples are enabling a stroke patient to walk better or providing a cerebral palsy patient with more stability.

Rosanna's training has been under Drs' Jason and Linda Hao, as well as other great professionals both within the western and eastern medical fields that encompass the Neuro-Acupuncture Institute (NAI). She is part of the first group of acupuncturists who has completed all trainings under NAI, and is currently one of the few specialist in Pennsylvania.
